I was doodling last night and ended up with this. It’s been along time since I’ve done any artwork just for fun. :[

This is a near future desert military scene. I was just trying to do some cool armor that is somewhat realistic but also intimidating and cool [at least to me]. I know the whole skull helmet gas mask thing has been done to death, but I think there is still something very powerful about the theme.

I kept a pretty loose painterly feel to the image because I thought it brought some excitement and motion to the image – but mostly I did it because its fun to paint that way.
